What is the Biomes O' Plenty Add-On?
The Biomes O' Plenty Add-On is an official port of the popular (>200 Million downloads!) Minecraft: Java Edition mod of the same name. If you're unfamiliar with Biomes O' Plenty, it adds a slew of new and unique biomes with vanilla-esque flair, such as Lavender Fields, Redwood Forests, Tropics, and plenty of others! To go along with the new biomes, it adds new plants, flowers, trees, building blocks, and much more!
Who is working on the Biomes O' Plenty Add-On?
4KS Studios are behind the actual development of the Add-On, while the Glitchfiend team tests and ensures that things look and behave the way they should.
When will the Biomes O' Plenty Add-On release?
We do not have an exact release date yet, but it will be coming fairly soon!
How much will the Biomes O' Plenty Add-On cost?
We do not have a price to announce at this time.
What biomes will be included?
Right now, 53 of the 59 overworld biomes in the current version of the Java mod will be included at launch. The 6 missing biomes are being temporarily held back for now due to current limitations on where/how we can generate our biomes. BOP's Nether and End biomes will not be included at launch either, but will come at a later date. It’s important that we include biomes as accurately as possible.
Will the Wanderer music disc be included?
As of now, the Wanderer music disc is *not* included in the Bedrock add-on, and we currently have no plans to add it.
Does the Biomes O' Plenty Add-On support Vibrant Visuals?
Aside from enhanced emissive textures for the Auroral Gardens and Glowing Grotto, there isn't any special integration with Vibrant Visuals just yet (PBR, biome color grading, etc.). But it is compatible with Vibrant Visuals enabled.
Will this affect the Java version of Biomes O' Plenty at all?
For the most part, no. Some tweaks may come to the Java mod to maintain parity between both versions, but it will of course remain free and downloadable on the mod hosting sites it's currently available on, and will continue to be updated to each new Minecraft version.
Are world seeds the same between the Java and Bedrock versions?
No. The way biomes generate in the Java mod and Bedrock Add-On are completely different, but we've ensured that the BOP experience will be as similar as possible!
How will future updates to the Java version of Biomes O' Plenty affect the Add-On?
All future content added to the Java version of Biomes O' Plenty will also come to the Add-On in free updates!
